    Connecting Threads Fabric Design Contest

The Connecting Threads Fabric Design Contest voting is open. My sister, Pola, a quilter and a mixed media artist, has submitted her fabric design to the contest. Her entry is on page 20 and it's called "Pola's Mushrooms." Her name is Pola Yochum, She's from North Canton, Ohio. What I really like about her entry is that it really displays a couple of fabrics in one--you can cut from different places in the fabric and get a completely different look. I can't wait to see what she does with the coordinating fabrics!

The URL for the contest is: http://www.connectingthreads.com/cfD...st/Entries.cfm

If you like her fabric, would you please vote for her? Can you tell I'm really proud of her!

That's the sort of design that would work great for kaleidoscopes. I like it a lot!

I like it a lot too and I have just voted for Pola. I can't remember the name of the website but isn't there one where they will do a small print run of any fabric design? Maybe Pola would consider doing that if she doesn't win and that way I could buy a yard of Pola's Mushrooms.

Thank you for your votes! I am not sure who does small runs of printing fabric but I'll be sure to research it now that I know it's possible to do. I was blown away by the number of submissions from all over the world in this contest as well as by some pretty amazing entries. I agree, Lorchen, with Pola's kind of fabric you have a lot to play with when doing a kaleidoscope quilt.

I love Pola's entry too, and not just because she's my sister, but there is a lot you can do with it. I urge you to vote for her and tell all your friends too. Thank you all for your support, it is so appreciated.
