    Applique mat help

I am all ready to use my applique mat and now can't find it. I know it is here somewhere! Doesn't it drive you nuts when you can't find something? Anyway, is there anything else I can use that would serve the same purpose so that I can iron my design together, pick it up and then place it on my hanging? I hope someone can HELP! Thanks. Mary Noel

Yes, parchment paper--you know the stuff you line your cake pans with before you bake. Most grocery stores have it.

Or, you can cut off a large piece of your fusible web and peel the fusible part off the paper backing and use the paper backing in place of your Teflon sheet or parchment paper.

That's the way it always is. I know I have at least two of them. The latest one is rolled up on the shelf near the ironing board now so I can find it.

the other way to find it is to purchase another. I swear, it works every time!

And the corollary: if you are missing just one four patch, you will find it as soon as you make another!

Oh Marion...you are too funny but that thought occurred to me. Just have to live "not in the boonies" where it is an hour or so to a good quilt store. Not a little town shop. I did do the parchment and it worked fine. This wasn't a big project this time around. Thanks!

This is so funny. It always happens to me, too. I loose something and always find it after I've made another one. Doesn't it just get you!! I got a good laugh out of that. Didn 't know it happened to the rest of us, too. Thanks
