I ordered some gradation fabric in contrasing colours online without seeing the fabric when it came i tried really harx to like it but its not my cup of tea

I started making it anyway as it was for my son not me.

Still didnt love it but it was getting interesting

All those seams! My son thinks its amazing . Now to quilt it. Any suggestions gratefully received except from Rosemary who says ESS!!! No way

It's the 8th, so here I am! Wendy, I love your Fibonacci quilt-it looks a lot like one of Ricky's quilts that I can't remember the name of right now. ops:
I've never done ice dyeing, I'll have to try it sometime.
We had snow, but then we had spring; now we'll have winter temperatures but no snow. Clear as mud?
I'm working on something but can't share it just yet. I'll also share some applique tomorrow. Why tomorrow? Because I forgot to take pics today.

Hope everyone is having a great February,

from the beautiful Hudson Valley of NY

Wendy, Holy Moley! That Fibonacci quilt is wonderful! How nice that you suffered through just for your son. I would like to know.... Did you throw your gloves to the floor in exasperation? Your ice dyed fabric looks lovely. You'll have fun cutting it up and sewing it back together again.

Luann, I get your blog post by email and enjoy it so much. You are a busy lady. Your redo of your home will be so nice. (When it's done!)

I've been recovering from some icky virus. I'll be back to sewing tomorrow. I put together a Tula Pink elephant for a baby gift. It's pretty cute. I'll wait til the 13th to share photos and other news.

We've had snow and more snow expected this weekend. Good time to stay home and sew!

                          Hugs to everyone! geneva

Wendy, does that little star always show up or was that just a ‘design element’ that you made happen? I don’t see it in the other points, I’m wondering just what made it appear where it did???? Inquiring mind (s) want to know,, lol

Anything that appeared on that quilt was by accident! I had a lot of trouble getting my head round the colour choices and when i drafted the pattern i added seam allowances that were already there duh.
