Very, very nice Andr?e and Wendy! Beautiful colors, nice neat work! Lucky Wendy. FYI.......we can make a five block row of 6" blocks, if we add 1" of sashing in between each block, as Andrèe did. Great for changing our rows up a bit!

I'm glad you like it Wendy!
The blocks are: flying geese; flock of birds; birds of paradise; birds in flight; duck and ducklings.
It flew quite quickly, I left it at the post office just saturday!

          Wonderful row Wendy/Andree.

Sorry I couldn't find any birthday cake to share, hope you don't mind some matured Christmas cake instead

With tea as well - just make sure the water is boiling hot to brew properly

Had a great day out to Bishop Auckland to see an exhibition called Plots and Spangles, Catholic vestements embroidered by one of the daughters of the Gun Powder Plot conspiritors, so dating back to 1630's-60's, and they were stunning. Will add some photos when I get them downloaded

Lovely bird blocks, Andree - you are very talented. Love the colours too!

              Thanks for the tea.

This is such fun. That's a great idea to use spacers between blocks.

Rosemary that cake looks a little sad. Do you want some of my Dots?

Or, maybe some champagne. Sit back, have a glass and tell us all about the vestments. They sound very beautiful and intriguing.

Andree, perfect blocks. Very lucky Wendy....

I will take some of that champagne as well, thanks

Andree, Wendy -- gorgeous row!! Really spectacular!

Poor Brenda is still waiting on hers from me, as life has kept me from the post office to resend it. Ack! tomorrow, I promise!

This weekend I'll be banished from my upstairs, as we're hosting high school boys for a weekend retreat thing that our church does. They'll be out & about during the day, but sleeping here Friday and Saturday nights. Eight. Highschool. Boys. (that's ages 14-18, for you people in places that call high school something else....) (the last years before University). Well, two of the eight are my own boys, but still. See why I need a glass of that champagne now (and save me some for after, too, please...)

Have a great weekend without me!

                      Good luck and have fun!

Happy Day all y'all. As a lifelong Californian I like to borrow phrases from other regions of the world to add color and variety to my speaking and writing. That's a good thing, eh?

I received my row from Brenda earlier this week and tried to upload the picture. First attempt unsuccessful. Try number two coming up. Wait til you see this row, It is bright, happy, clean, beautiful. The block is one that, in 40 years of quilting, I have never made. This interpretation has inspired me to do so soon! Before I try to upload again, I want to be sure to thank Brenda profusely for the row and the other goodies she included! "Thank you profusely Brenda!" I won't reveal the added treats, in case you are planning to do similar for subsequent recipients. I don't like to spoil the surprise! :S
