        Beautiful star Luann!

Thank you so much for organizing this row robin, can't wait to start - the design process in underway - and it's going to be so much fun to see what everyone is doing, like several pieces of art coming up together...

Yes, there are 18 participating in the exchange. And I think about a half dozen cheering us on. It wouldn't be the same without them!

              I totally agree.

This looks exciting and lots of fun. Can't wait to see how this unfolds.

Because I am a dunce.....we just print the list from the post on page 1, with the names/wants, and then check our email/print the page from where you sent us everyone's address, correct? And my January row is whoever is below me on the list from page 1, and so forth & so on until I get around to whoever is above me, correct?

Just want to be sure I'm doing this right I've not started planning yet as I can only work on so much at once, though I have figured out what to do for those who want "flavor of you" stuff, and tossing around ideas for everyone else....

Are we keeping discussion here, or over in the Group you set up? I can't quite figure that part out.....but I'm excited to start!

I think you've got the right idea. And Luann are you going to post a technique each month for us to use?

So, Wendy, you must have really liked homework in school. I'm having trouble enough thinking of a 'flavour of me' and now with the added instruction to do a specific technique sounds daunting to me. However, I will 'chin up' if that's the way it's going to go. We'll wait to hear from Captain Lulu.

My understanding of "a particular technique" is what the "flavor of you" is. If applique is something that you always do, then that might be a flavor of you. Or if you are remembered by your paper piecing, then that is a flavor of you. I could be wrong, but I'm sure Luann will set me straight. And, I think a flavor of you is the given term that means "Do what YOU like and what YOU feel comfortable doing for me." Anyway, that's how I've interpreted it.

Now that I've tried to sound so knowledgable :silly:, I have a question of my own. Our rows do not always have to be a scene, correct? I mean, it can be 6 star blocks, or an applique of feathers (thinking GO! Heather Feather, here) ?!

                        Tons of fun!!

As I understand the rules - as long as the piece measures 36.5" long by 6.5" wide (although the width can be varied for some) it should be good to go in the post. As far as I can tell, the technique is up to the maker, who (hopefully) will follow the design brief - if there is one. Otherwise, do what you fancy for the receipent. However if life gets in the way for any particular month, Lottie suggested that rather than fret about it, a specially chosen strip of fabric would be equally acceptable. Just let everyone in the team know if you need to rest on you oars at any time.

Does that sound about right, Capt'n Lulu?

I just returned from a trip down a dark, sinister road! We went to Home Depot, I got lost in the paint dept., finally found all of what I otherwise needed, purchased NO paint, but made a terrific connection. She gave me a Master Palette of paint chips for the Glidden brand of paint.

They are all attached at the one end and it has a numeric index and a alphabetical index. So if anyone has a specif word they want me to see if there is a current color associated with it in the Glidden line of paints, just ask away.

                            Now for the serious business,

I think Rosemary, PosyP, has it summed up pretty well. I read each of the posts since Heather's and each of you just continued to clarify. I'm so proud of my rowing team! You are the greatest. If that ocean wasn't so big, we could meet half way for a cup of tea. But, alas, I sink like a concrete block if I don't have water wings on so its best we just virtually row on out to those islands and trade our stuff.

And now for some honesty. I haven't a clue as to where the best place to post pictures, and comments, is. I need one of you to give us some direction with that part. I get lost easily on this site and try to stay where I know what I'm doing. Well, that's questionable too! LOL
