Wow Luann, I guess you really want us to come. I would love to, if I only lived closer. I love the cushion fabric. Beautiful.
Geneva, I feel for you. Hope you get your inspiration back soon. I like Nancy's suggestion of a quilt kit. No decisions other than did you like the kit to begin with. Another thought is to go do some sewing that is not fun. I am thinking of the 3 pairs of jeans waiting to be mended that are in my sewing room. I really must get them out of my way. I thought if you did enough of that unfun sewing, you may enjoy sewing some nice quilt blocks.  Well, as soon as I finish reading the forum I am going down to sew the jeans , then on to another row for the row exchange.

You guys are the best! I have tears in my eyes and my heart is full. Thank you so much.
I went to joanns today to buy smocked dress fabric for my 5&6 year old granddaughters who will be visiting soon. (Thanks to Terry for a great idea!). Then I went to another craft store and walked around to sniff the fabric. I got an idea for Jen's row! Let's see if it pans out. B) Jenn your row from me isn't due til July so I'm not stressing.
It never ceases to amaze me how a group of crazy ladies like us from all over the world can support each other so well. Luann, I'll be by for some tea and a sweet visit on your beautiful lounge. Sigh.... anyone care to join me? I'm sure Luann won't mind.
Love you guys! GenevaGeneva

Pimms? it certainly looks like the weather for it. Or peach Bellini's could be good.
I am supposed to be tidying up my sewing room ready to move the sewing table and etc & etc & etc away from the windows, as we are getting new window frames installed starting within the next few days and I am just starting a cold too - sore throat and runny nose - yuck. Neither of which is going to be a pretty sight...

Dear Geneva, when I have a creative block and my fabric, quilting etc seems dull and uninteresting I give myself a break. I look at my collection of art books for pleasure - not inspiration. I give myself permission to clear my fabric stash (it's difficult to do) I take some to the charity shop and some to my quilting class. I get quite immobilized if I have too much stash, as I then try to incorporate all the disparate fabrics into quilts and become despondent when it doesn't look right. Then without question my need to quilt (and all that goes with it) returns, it can be inspired by a painting, literature or a piece of music but it generally happens when I'm not seeking inspiration. It's not a nice feeling when you have a creative block but your magic will return.
Warm Wishes Pam (in Scotland)

Thank you everyone. I have taken your advice to heart and am actually doing Jen's row in an unusual way, thanks to you all! I am also looking at art books, quilt books/magazines and I'm reading an unrelated story. And I'm keeping an eye out for sale kit to buy since Nancy gave me permission to do so! B)
Say, since my sweetie and I were chosen as the official mojito makers while on our recent trip to Cuba, I'll bring the Yerba Buena, Bitters, lime juice, soda water and Cuban RUM. I'm sure LuAnn will furnish the ice. (It might melt on the plane. hmy: )
take care, Geneva
