Quilters are like snowflakes. We might all look alike, but our hand stitching is all unique.

I did more work on my initial 'C'. If you click on the photo, it turns right side.
I am thankful for this project at this time of year. Just my husband and me, no kids. One gathering on Christmas day with hubby's nephew & sister, 8 total. Thank you Alex

Carol this is beautiful!! Did you have previous embroidery classes using letters? I would love to try this on mine.

            And the stitching continues

Ok, finally got my background pieced yesterday and started a little stitching today. I am really enjoying getting back to hand stitching / embroidery…Especially with the beautiful fabric and thread in the kits. Thanks Alex

Suzanne I embroidered a lot in my twenties, always using a pattern. Then crounted cross stictch years later, and used a lot of letters then. How I came up with this letter was just googling hand embroidery stitches & clicked images. I don't do pinterest, but I'm sure there's a lot there too.

I’m really enjoying this project. It’s such a challenge to work with a neutral only palette- but that’s my favorite part! I think I have all the circles I need, either started or drawn, so now it’s time to learn new stitches.

I agree…very easy to get immersed. Your stitching is beautiful

I make a jacket from my Grandmother Hayes' hankies & did two dolls embroidering the face, hair, arms, etc. I also did a butterfly. I used her butons as the band on the dresses & a big button for the face of the butterfly. She was 106 yrs. old when she passed away. Everyone can't believe I did this.I used straigh stitches, slip stitches & satin stitches for the flower centers. Thought you would love to see it.

                          I
I am really enjoying this project! I went digging in my old cross stitch and embroidery supplies and got really excited to be stitching again. I had some perle cotton and bought some (okay- a lot more!). I found a fat quarter of black woven fabric in my Stacy and decided to use that. This is what I have so far.
