Hi, this maybe a question that I should already know the answer too but I don’t.
When do you remove the paper ( foundation) from the back of the block?
do you do it before you sew the blocks together in a quilt or once the quilt top is sewn into a flimsy?

At the beginning Alex mentioned not to remove the paper until everything was sewn together, but not to sew everything together until we have finished all the blocks. Hope this helps.

Is there a schedule for this class? I watched on 9/20 but I'm not sure when the next class will be.

Not really, but so far it has been every Monday. But I check every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, to make sure I don’t miss one.

Barbara 1259, You can do it either way. I personally like to leave the paper on until all the blocks are sewn together.
The outside edge of the blocks give you the sewing line, and that is one time when I use pins instead of glue to assemble
blocks or units together. I stick a pin thru the top line and check to see that it also comes out on the bottom line of the other block in the
correct spot. You also will know that your blocks all end up the same size if you sew the outside edge line. Sometimes
if you take the paper off first, you might have one seam a little more than a 1/4 or a little less than a quarter and that adds
    up quickly. HelenW

Laura, I am not, but I have used it in the past. It works fine, but I love, love love vellum. Nothing like being able to see thru it. HelenW

I bought vallum. It's transparent but it is too thick. What kind of vallum should I buy?

Hi, just wondering if this project would lend itself to ‘quilt as you go’ ?

Valerie, You probably could do quilt it in sections. Piece 3 sections. Use the white sashing strips as the way of covering
the seams, like you do when you quilt a block at a time. Then you could use the blue inner border to cover the connections
between the main quilt and the outside border. Marti Michelle has a book on quilt sections as you go, and also how to
add borders using flip and sew. HelenW

I have downloaded the e-book. When I print the pineapple template it is off to one side of the page. so the complete pattern is not there. I am printing actual size and my little lines measure 1 inch exactly. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Valerie, Another option that Marti Michelle uses is to cut the batting into sections. You piece the top and then quilt part of it, fuse another area of batting back into it with the her fusible interfacing for connecting batting. She has roll l inch and 2 inches I think.
She describes it in the book. HelenW

Hi Nancy I had the same problem at first so I printed it at 100% (rather than actual) and it worked out to the correct size. Good luck ValerieO

I printed at 101% and the pattern came out pretty accurate. However, I found that some of the block patterns are accurate in the book so you really need to measure before printing patterns.
