Cheryl you can cut the large size down to fit your bobbin! I have also used an old sillicon applique pressing sheet to make my own. (My kitty chewed holes in my press sheet when I left it out...my bad!)
Trace the diameter of my bobbin on the sheet, cut in the inside of the line. Punch a hole in the center with a hole punch. They lasted a long time, and they worked great!

I have a Bernina 200E upgraded to a 730E, and she does not like the bobbin washers...she whines and complains and moans that there is something in her bobbin case and refuses to sew. She DOES take on airs and, like Victorian ladies of yore, she suffers "the vapors" from time to time. These bobbin washers bring on "the vapors" for her.

I'm sure there are people who swear by the bobbin washers, but when I tried using them (because I was told they might eliminate the "birdnest" I would occasionally get on the backside of my quilt) I actually had one work its way to the top of my bobbin (drop in bobbin) and try to come up through the throat plate, and got stitched to my quilt!!! It was a mess. If I can find the rest of them I would be more than happy to mail them to you! lol

cjbeg - Exactly! I have no clue! The Janome 9000 has a roomy bobbin case, and I guess it just worked its way up from under the bottom edge, the needle went through it, then pulled it the rest of the way up. I probably couldn't make it happen again, if I tried. I'm wondering if it heated up with fast sewing, and expanded. I have noticed that mine are not flat, but have a little curve to them. Oh well, they didn't really make a difference with my sewing. $10 wasted!

Margo, I'm finally getting back to the computer -- a busy few days. I was just wondering about the bobbin washers as I do have a fussy Janome 1600 on my Grace frame. She only likes Robinson Anton thread. If I try other thread she skips stitches and just doesn't sew quite right. I thought maybe the washers might be the trick. Sounds as though some like the washers, some don't and others don't see a difference. I may just have to try them and see for myself. Thanks again to all how weighed in. Quilters are the best.

Quiltcamp, I am serious about sending you some Little Genie Majic Bobbin Washers, if you want to try them with your machine. I did find mine, and will not be using them, as I did not see a difference. No reason to buy them, just to find out if they work for you. Once you've tested them, then you'll know if it is worth making your own purchase.
