    Sally Collins - Precision Piecing

I am not sure why we have been allowed to watch this DVD but thank you TQS! Brilliant for a beginner or a not so beginner like me. Full of terrific advice

Oh this is wonderful, especially for a non-precision art quilter like myself who wants to incorporate a bit of traditional piecing into my work. THANKS!

I have the DVD, Sally Collins is wonderful. I learned so much from watching her. She was one of the founding members of my quilt guild, the Simi Valley Quilt Guild, and she came back for our 20th anniversary a few years ago. She brought many of her quilts, which she passed around for us to see close up. Wow! There's a reason she wins best of show with those quilts. Thanks TQS for letting us see her video.

This is the best DVD ever. I bought this DVD and book years ago and I still watch it when I feel I'm getting sloppy in my quilting. It inspires me to do a better job. I've never used templates but the piecing and pressing and pinning information has really helped.

I saw an exhibition of her work last summer and her quilts were beautiful. I would advise every quilter to watch this.

This was a great video clip--it reinforced all the basic precision piecing skills my sister taught me not so long ago when she sat me down and got me started with quilting; Susan Collins' video reinforced in my mind what a great job my sister did, added some additional great tips and now I just have to remember not to "cut corners" and try and measure a little more often... This was a superb refresher video and super for beginners as well as the more seasoned quilter. Thank you TQS!

                This video is exquisite.
Monthly two friends come over to sew. They bring their stuff and I help them if they get stuck. It can be anything - clothing or quilting or whatever. One of them has been quilting for a while but still consider herself a beginner. The other wants to try patchwork now and I was teaching her how to use the rotary cutter for precision cutting. After that precision sewing. We were talking about sewing slow and where to look while you sew. Both friends were so amused to get into details and I'm proud to say that I told them exactly what was taught in this video.

Thank you, thank you TQS! This is the most amazing video. Some of the tips were counterintuitive for me, like pin placement, but the explanations were very logical. I feel like I have been gently tutored by an exceptional teacher!

Just finished watching this and loved Sally's teaching style--she let us know exactly why she wants us to do it her way and what could happen if we do take the time and care with our work. I want to do a miniature quilt now!

I also just finished watching the video. My 2 1/2 year old grandbaby is visiting and we both watched intently. I loved it the video. Sally is quite good with her explanations and certainly is from trial and error. I loved watching her hands. All those tiny quilts behind her were wonderful. I will find her books to purchase.

LOL! No Rosemary, it is just half-sized. I think a true miniature is 1/4 size.
