New Member Help
I have been a member for a bit but I just now wanted to post to the forums for the first time. I could not find how to do this for the life of me. After stumbling around for about an hour I finally noticed the "Subscribe" button at the top of the forum. You must click this button and subscribe before you can post. Once you do that, the posting box will appear.
I am pretty computer savvy and program for a living and I have to say I was embarrassed that I could not figure this out. I think the old website had some videos showing how to post and I don't know if they included telling people to click "Subscribe" but maybe a new video showing this first time setup might be helpful to others as well.Tags: None

James, I am sorry you had trouble posting. The Subscribe button is not required to post on the Forum. It allows you to be notified when someone posts on a Topic you post on.
To post, go to the Category you want to post on. Select “New Topic”—use this when there is not a topic already started that is what you want to talk about. If you want to continue a Topic already in place. “Reply Topic” there.
We do need a good video for posting instructions. I will see about that.Barbara Black

I have to say that the "new" website is abhorrent. I didn't think I would ever wish I had not joined TQS - but this website is causing me to think I may not renew again.
It is not user friendly to the average target audience. I worked in website development for usability. This version of the website is a huge failure.
In the previous incarnation, I spent hours and could always find something of interest. Now I spend less than an hour a week - and more times less than that. I constantly find errors in coding. I rarely find the content that I would like.
I wish I could get a refund. (I can't even upload an attachment here as that fails also.Last edited by Gene B.; 06-15-2021, 03:32 PM.
