    Need Sunflower Quilt Pattern

I have lots of sunflower fabric, different sizes and colors along with some beautiful Ricky hand died in bright yellows, greens, blues and reds. I would like to make a queen size quilt using this fabric but can't find a pattern.

Does anyone have any ideas for using this fabric for a queen size quilt?

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks, that's a great panel but I am looking for something a little more complicated. This will be one side of a queen sized quilt, the other I am working on now which is a Maple Leave pattern made with all hand died fabric. The Maple Leaf side will be complicated and beautiful if I do say so myself so I want the otherside to be just a beautiful. Not to mention I will be using several of Ricky Tims' hand died on the Sunflower side. So, I want to make it as beautiful as his fabrics are.

grannylinda - Check out 9-Patch Pizzazz by Judy Sisneros. It can be made with your florals in either distinct contrast or what Judy calls "mushie" where your fabrics blend and the blocks don't stand out as much. Her block placement can be altered to make any size quilt. Carolyn in Kerrville, TX

Barbara Olson has a wonderful sunflower design and it is available at her website which I cannot remember right now but if you look in the ads at the right of the main page for this site it has been listed for a long time or google Barbara Olson, quilt artist. Her design would make a wonderful centerpiece for a larger sunflower quilt, IMHO, LOL, Ann

                  dear grannylinda,

here are the details re the kaffe fassett quilt:

it is featured on pages 77 -79 of his book entitled GLORIOUS PATCHWORK and is called "red diamonds quilt".
the book came ut in 1997
the diamonds are all flowers, some large and some small sunflowers, and are set on point...great fun and easy to make

let me know if you see this..if not i might be able to scan it for you

                  cheers

There's a pattern that a TQS member sells that has a beautiful sunflower on it. I'm ordering the pattern because I collect houses. But search for member Willowhillquilts

Would it be LeMoyne Star applique medallion, you are thinking of? Also in the book are, Creme Brulee and Daisy Chain. Both of which have applique in the quilt.
