    Bernina 1008 Foot Pedal

    I have a Bernina 1008 and I replaced the foot pedal about a year ago. However, the foot pedal hums when I stop sewing unless I tap it with my foot. This is a really good machine, but the foot pedal seems to be inferior quality. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there another foot pedal that is better quality that will work with it? Is there some improvement that can be made to the foot pedal? My husband is pretty handy and could probably take it apart and replace parts if that would make an improvement.
