    Error code 1010.

Error code 1010. New Bernina 770. First try on BSR. Buyers' remorse?

I have the same machine--it is a computer that sews. There is lots of helpful info on the Bernina 7 Facebook group. Almost all errors can be resolved by the user. The machine is high-end and needs to be kept clean to work the best. Mine is a couple years old and I love it. All errors at my house were operator-induced.

Think it might be the hand wheel is locked ? It happened to me and my new machine has been back to the dealer twice in its 4 months of being here, apparently there is a known fault with the calibration

I have the 780 and machine suddenly stopped showing " Error 1010 Main drive sync failed Restart Machine" Was on straight stitching. Restarted machine, no luck. Machine always cleaned and oiled . Unplugged machine to clear down memory cache . Still No joy. However I spoke to a lovely lady in a shop in Devon who are Bernina dealers and she told me to unplug machine, remove needle, bobbin and hook race and carefully lay the machine down on its back and really look inside that area, as there is quite often little bits of thread that you wouldn't see when normally cleaning. low and behold there was a large lump of thread and fluff jammed at the top where there is a tiny gap which the race fits into. took some removal with a very fine pin which husband bent into a hook.. so it could be pulled out with long nose tweezers and even pliers. Once cleared machine worked again. What a relief
