    Ruler Foot for Domestic Machines

Do you know whether or not bernina made this has a hopping ruler foot or a NON-HOP foot?

The janome foot doesn't hop, and from my tests among ruler feet on the bernina (before I upgraded to innova), I found I love the no hop of the janome foot. When the ruler foot glides along the bed instead of hopping, in a domestic machine situation, that gives the operator the most control.

Saw the itinerary for Bernina University and saw they have the ruler foot for domestic machines. Anyone seen it yet or heard price?

Haven't seen it. A Bernina dealer told me it would be out for the public in December. I hope it doesn't require a new machine to use it.

Here is a picture of it. Foot #72 (I think is the number), available fourth quarter is what they say. And yes, it is for your regular domestic machine.

Thanks for the pic! It look like the type of foot that will work with several models. I have an 830 LE and I was worried they might make it just for the 880 or 7 series. I can' wait!

This add is for the Westalee Rulers and foot. The Westalee rulers are not a full thickness like longarm rulers. Bernina does not recommend the use of the Westalee rulers although a lot of Bernina users are using the foot. There is a possibility of hitting the rulers with your foot and throwing your timing off. I have the Bernina foot 96 for my Q20 sitdown machine. I would recommend waiting for the Bernina domestic machine foot which is foot 72. Bernina is also coming out with rulers and classes by Amanda Murphy, Ruler work is a lot of fun.
