Wendy, my collection of 5 started from 1982, and I did win one in a competition this year, so it is not as extravagant as it first appears. I can't sell any because I did sell the very first one I ever bought, which was imaculate and I have aways regretted doing so. I know that I can't use them all at once.................but they all have their uses. One I kept to take on retreats because it is easy to handle, the one I won was presented to me from the owner of Bernina and it is also signed by him, so that is very special indeed. I also have another that I give to friends when their machines are being serviced (because life for a few weeks without a machine is like a child being 'grounded'). My main love is my 820QE and that doesn't get moved and is my workhorse machine.
I have also got an overlocker, getting very old now, but works like new. As you can see I am a Bernina addict..........................and LOVING IT!!!!!
Wednesday will eventually get her and you will be in Heaven!
Heather

You lot are so funny. Actually I'm going to build an annexe on the chicken run so you've got me thinking, asked OH for a new saw for Christmas
Heather I love that you have to have a machine for your friends convenience, great reason. Congratulations on winning one. I think that will be my goal.

I guess you had a good time at Harrogate then. I thought it was a good one this year - lots of fabric stalls, and knitting stalls - far more knitting stalls this year than last. In previous years there has been hardly any knitting and lots of paper crafting stalls. But then I have been going for a lot of years and it is interesting to see how it varies.
One miracle - I didn't get 'mugged' by Rosenbergs fabric stall this year :woohoo: , they stock the most fabulous cashmere/wools and silk chiffons at really good prices. The trouble is they are fabrics for special occasion wear, and I don't have too many special occasions to wear it at, and I have several lengths already at home  I did however buy myself a Lativan knitted mittens kit and the super fine needles for knitting it on - that should be interesting, as it is knitted in the round.

 It's the first thing that's stopped me checking on here.
Ingrid is lovely B) B) but very confusing :silly:  , I can't make head or tail of all the options. Good thing there's a guide and DVD. I'm scared of changing something and messing it up for ever. See you in about a month  I'm still smiling and bouncing
