Bernina 820 and older Horn cabinet

Hello - I am getting a new machine - Bernina 820. Yay!! anyway, I have a Horn cabinet (Quilters Dream) purchased in 2003 that I think should work size- wise for the new machine, but I'm concerned about the weight of the new machine on the air lift. I really don't want to purchase a new cabinet for $2000. Has anyone had to retrofit their old cabinet to the new heavier machines? Thank you, Lori in Wis

I just bought an 820 and will need a sturdy table - prefer airlift cabinet - not fancy seem to be difficult to find. Good luck.

My 820 just fits in my older Koala cabinet. However, because of the weight I remove the machine when using the lift. Going down may work but without increased motor size you may find it difficult to raise the bed.

Call Horn, if I'm not mistaken there's a new lift available.
No idea how much it runs but will probably be worth every penny.
