Hi TQS I recently found a fun antique quilt as you go method. The author is Pamela Weeks the book is portable patchwork ... I believe she is the curator of the new Hampshire quilt museum anyhow she by her very lineage , something like a 13 th generation quilter from that area and owns over 100 of the very rare " pot holder quilts" for which she is a historian, Would be an interesting guest
And exciting for our community to see more about this, in case your interest also
On a side note "pot holder " quilt never would have guessedDana J -

Hi TQS Looking through the featured quilts I came across That Town and Country Quilt by Debra Freeze that won a merit award at IOwa State Fair. I know this quilt well as I have also made this quilt. It was designed by a New Zealand quilt artist Susan Clare Mayfield of Gourmet Quilter
Susan lives in New Zealand and is a regular at our local guilds craft fairs and exhibitions. " World famous in New Zealand". Susan is a very talented designer of patterns and fabric lines as well as web site tutorials for all kinds of quilting techniques. I think she would be a fantastic guest of the quilt show. Susan has travelled extensively over the years and is well known in the states and Britain. Her web site is Gourmetquilter.com if you want to check her out.
regards Margaret
