I occasionally get a phone call from lady who lives in 'deepest' Wales. She sounds delightful, almost musical, but I have real problems understanding what she actually says. I had the chance to spend a weekend in a workshop with her, but went for one of the other options, because I'm sure I would have been mentally exhausted after trying to understand her for a few hours, let along 2 days. I guess I'm not relocating to Wales anytime soon.
By the way, even after over 30 years in England I still speak with a noticeable German accent. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood
