Excuse me for being inappropriate this morning, but this reminded me of the "dark side" quote about rotary cutting. When HGTV discontinued Simply Quilts some wit, somewhere said that the channel didn't know who they were messing with... there were hundreds of thousands of largely menopausal women out there with rotary cutters who knew how to use them... Sorry, I feel better now.

I'm guessing most of those menopausal women have done a 180 since the start of TQS. It's hard to believe that Simply Quilts could be improved upon, but I believe they did it, in spades! A lot of the Simply Quilts episodes are lost, at least to me. But I'll have my TQS episodes as long as they keep making computers and DVD players! And the quality! Wow!! Besides the quality of the information presented, the quality of the presentation (in both Simply Quilts and TQS) is so much above and beyond any other quilting programs/videos that I've seen. All of the others tend to look to me like the old Saturday Night Live public TV spoofs. (Note that I'm not including some of the online quilting classes in this like Craftsy and others. Some of them are well done and look very professional, but they aren't the type of thing I'm talking about here.)

Or maybe I'm just happier because I'm post-menopausal now. Keeping my rotary cutter closed for now! (But don't cross me....)

                      Here's one for a laugh:

"Q: How many women with MENOPAUSE does it take to change a light bulb?

Woman's Answer: One! ONLY ONE!!!! And do you know WHY? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb!
They don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT! They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out.
And, once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the #&%!* light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CABINET for the past 17 YEARS!
But if they did, by some miracle of God, actually find them, 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE FREAKING LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!! BECAUSE NO ONE EVER PICKS UP ORCARRIES OUT THEGARBAGE! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT
ARE A FOOT DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE!!
IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS PLACE! AND
DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WHO CHANGES
                      THE TOILET PAPER ROLL !!

I'm sorry. What was the question?"

Does this sound familiar? I don't know about the menopause but I've been like this for years!

Sad thing is, I live alone so I'm the one who doesn't notice the light bulb is burned out (or hopes someone else will notice it first), can't find the light bulb, leaves the chair in place and doesn't pick up the wrapper!
