What a great outing! I REALLY wish I could come to Chicago to visit the Chicago Field Museum and just hang out with you. You don't know how many times I've flown into O'Hare on my way to the Pacific without ever leaving the airport...I hope to see your pictures though--they are always such a treat, Lotti!!!

oh yes rita, can hardly wait for my official vacation (during the two weeks in canada i'll be trying to keep up most of my duties and those of our management assistant by remote - as i'm doing both jobs at the moment - the new girl is only starting on 1st may - and hopefully i'll have her worked-in by the time i fly to dublin).
flights for ireland are also booked: 26th may to dublin - arriving late pm so we're booking an airport hotel that night - pick up the rental car on the 27th... and then - yeah explore - hopefully a bit of the green center and then head to the west coast - yeahhhhh - and GALWAY from evening of the 6th june. will have to be back in dublin by 4 pm or so on sunday 10th - for our flight home.Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

Lotti, I Don't think I can get there until the morning of 8th - just in time for Ricky Timms Seminar. And I will be leaving on Sunday evening. A couple of my quilting buddies are coming with me and I have to now book accommodation. Think I will try to go for the same place as you if there are any apartments left. It does sound like it's going to be exciting. Are you going to submit a quilt?

i've never even thought of officially showing anything i have made... really not sure if i'm up for that
might have to look into the rules & regs
maybe they have something for the "inconsistent - i have no idea what i'm doing and i don't want to know about any rules" people out there - it think that's where i would probably fit in   :roll:Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

Me too Lotti. But they have extended their deadline for entries so I reckon they haven't got that many so if I can get something done in time I will submit it anyway. My standard is not very good but it would be worth it to see what advice the judges give. I have never entered a contest before by the way.
