    We are now 90,000 strong

I just visited my account and noticed that we are now at 90,000 members. Who would have guessed it nearly four years ago that that number was even possible.

Isn't that incredible! Well TQS is the most valuable resource for quilters so it's no wonder.

Actually, Betty Ann, it's nearly five years now! The TQS Debut was January 1 2007: http://daily-blog/106-website-featur...6-picture-this
Here's to many more years of inspiration and information!

So, I'm thinking I know about 500 of you (Thanks to the Debbie and Clara blocks and donations project) and probably 50 of you quite well! So, where are the other 89,500 hiding? Time to make some new friends! I wish EVERYONE would jump into the forum and on the member blogs. There is just too much talent out there for you all to stay silent! Right?

Mmmmmmhhhhh.... I bet that means TQS should be mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest Quilt Guild in the world.

Personally, I just wish more members would use their profile and upload pictures of their quilts and whatever else they have made.

Lorchen, thanks for reminding me to take photos of the things I have made for Christmas gifts before giving them away. I have trouble remembering to do that. A couple of things have already departed for their new homes.

I love to see such pictures too! I do love this site and wish more people would join the commenters and bloggers but I really enjoy those who do.

I'm so very tickled to be a part TQS....we are like a small, immerging country...like minded, willing to help each other with any problems that we might be facing! I believe the UN should be taking notes!! Wouldn't the world be so very pleasant if it was like TQS??

WOW!!! WHOO HOO!! Our humble beginning was so 2007! We have 90,000 members now?

Okay...I will make some resolutions for the new year...I am going to learn how to blog (and create one on this site.)

I will start posting photos of my quilts and projects. Ugh! I guess that means that I had better start taking photos of my projects. I might want to work on my photography skills too. My photos of my granddaughter's quilt make it look like a trapezoid - it is a rectangle. . .

I am going to continue taking Art quilt classes, BUT I will not give up my "traditional roots". I WILL make pineapple blocks (lots and lots of them) using fabrics from my CURRENT stash. Whew!

There are several TQS members that say they are just too busy or are not PC savvy enough to post stuff on TQS.

Yes, we could interface for a stronger hold, iron out the wrinkles, smooth out the problems and stitch up all the stray elements. Before you know it the world would be one big snuggly happy quilt! And anybody who didn't agree with us... well they would go into the Stack and Whack pile!
