    SewEzi Table

I'm intrigued by the SewEzi portable table at http://www.seweziusa.com/. I don't need it at home, but think it would be dandy on trips and retreats.

If you have one, what do you think of it? What do you like about it? What do you think could be better?

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I don't have one, but a member of our guild does, and she uses it at our workshops. It is great, and several members have bought one since then. It doesn't wobble, it's very sturdy, and the machine is at the perfect height. It's a nice table, and looks like a good value, especially with the insert made especially for your machine.

Thanks, Linda. It's nice to know it doesn't wobble.

I wonder how heavy it is? I know it weighs about 23 pounds (at least, I think that's what it says on the web site), but I'm not sure how that feels when you're dragging it around (albeit on wheels) with all your other sewing stuff.

The ones I've seen at our guild workshops don't seem all that heavy, and they wheel around pretty well. Do you ever go to any of the "big" shows? They sell them there, you could look at one in person.

          Hi Anne,
I bought one of these last winter to use in our RV. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread! When I first opened it and set it up, I was a bit disappointed, as without a machine in it, it seemed rather flimsy.

However, once you put a machine on it, it's sturdy and works beautifully. I bought inserts for both my Bernina 630 and my 730.

It isn't heavy at all, and fits quite nicely into it's carrying case and is easy to move around with the wheels. It folds to about 6 inches deep.

The only complaint I have with it is that the surface chips very easily. Nothing that can't be touched up however.

I use mine on nearly a daily basis.

I recently purchased a SewEzi table at the Minnesota Quilt Show and I absolutely love it! I got 2 inserts for my machines and the wood insert to fill the table while using it for other crafty projects. I did not get the light box insert at the show, but I was able to have one made at the local glass shop. I took in one of my machine inserts and they made a template that did not include the machine cut out. They were able to cut it out of 1/4 plexi glass and it is just a perfect fit. The table wheels around just like a suitcase. It was effortless to take it from the convention center at the quilt show right into the hotel room across the street. I would highly recommend one to any quilter that likes to go to retreats and classes. It is such a sturdy table and it is usually set up where I sew because it is just the perfect height to work comfortably.

Our guild workshops are at an elementary school, so the tables and chairs can be quite small (especially for those of us who are nearly 6' tall). This table has worked well for a couple of the ladies who have them. I'm trying to decide if I want to get one. It's looking pretty attractive to me.

I know this post is a little late in coming, but I just received my new Sew Ezi table and I love it. I had to get them to trade out the insert because they sent me the wrong one, but Barb at Sew Ezi was great! No problems at all.

You convinced me! I ordered my SewEzi table on a Saturday and it arrived at my home in Canada the following Wednesday. Lightning fast!

I found the setup directions a wee bit of a challenge, but in an hour or so I had it all up and tested with both my Bernina and my Featherweight. You guys are right--it's really stable. I'm very pleased with the quality.

Thanks again for all your feedback.

I ordered one, too, after seeing it on one of The Quilt Show's episodes. I love it! I can take it to my sewing group or in the RV or just use in my sewing room for my extra machine. I get so many wonderful tips from this web site!

A friend of mine, who used to live in MA, got one and I was very, very impressed!!!! (Also, sorry I didn't order one in CA, several years ago, when they were about 1/2 of today's price!!! :?

                            Hi Anne,
I have one and love it. It is really handy for sewing on the go. I use it at classes, in hotel rooms, and for sewing a friends houses. The wheels make it easy to move. What I don't like... the cover is a little hard to put on, easy to get off, but cumbersome to put back on.
                            Santa could bring you one.

I am considering purchasing this table, but I haven't been able to reach a person at the company yet. I see that the table is 29 inches high.

My question is -- Does the bottom of the machine sit at the 29 inch height or is the table top itself (the taller part that surrounds the machine at the 29 inch height?
