    Question for Ricky

Hi, I have a question about the borders you cut for the Odette quilt. did you cut them across the width of the fabric? I think from watching the video that you did. I think the salvage is at the bottom and you did not cut the boarder perpendicular to the salvage edge. Do you always do this with your borders? Wondering if it something you have learned to do over the years.

I’m looking for the name of the quilter who designed one of the first Block of the Month projects for the Quilt show.
I think this amazing woman is deceased. I did all the appliqué blocks. I wasn’t a fan of the vases so I used animals instead.
I never put them into a quilt and they have been in my UFO pile. I’m now making them into pillows as gifts and want to acknowledge the quilt designer. Could you tell me her name? I enclosed 2 pictures of the blocks to give you an idea of her designs.
    Thanks, Barbara

That is Susan H Garman. She designed several of the BOM quilts for TQS and many are still available on her website run by her daughters. Sadly, Sue passed away January 8, 2017. She is missed by many of us, every day.
