I'm intrigued by the squares. I have enough lady fingers now to begin exploring. I picked up these space ombres at a sewing expo, and I'm liking what I'm seeing. I'll be switching things around to find those squares.

Hi Ricky, Hoping this looks like rolling hills of flowers. Will continue with the sky, clouds and sun. What do you suggest? Is it ok? Thanks Anna

A field of flowers for sure. Anxious to see the final picture.

Looking good! Is this going to be a wall hanging? If so, then I would do no border with a facing. Whatever you decide will be great!

I see that the picture is sideways when small and upright when clicked on. What orientation did you use when you took the picture? Did you hold the camera vertically or horizontally? (Love the blue and how your eye follows it.)

Linda, you're colors are lovely. I wonder how it would be to corral the turquoise so they're all near the center. Can't wait to see where this is going.

Congratulations Linda. The little pops of turquoise add great visual interest.

Mine's done. Whooooooeeey. Need to add the border. I used my walking foot to put the rows together. I ordered the batik kit. It is square - photo is wonky.

Look at you!!! - That's really nice! If you can for the final showcase, is it possible to not have it skewed at an angle? I just really want to show these off as best possible. I'm so proud of you for this!

I posted (I thought) what is going on in the picture. Mostly African fabrics, some batiks. I am a bit discouraged at the moment, my husband said he does not see a river, sunset or the river bank. The river pieces are cut down in size and staggered across. The rest is normal. I still have a ways to go. It will be a wall hanging. Any thoughts our there?

Your quilt looks great. Did you make it with the batik or ombré fabrics?

I wanted to try a 3D effect. I used the Ombre fabrics. I loved the fabrics so much I had to buy them in yardage also. Never can have to much fabric. I used my Iphone a lot to check the values.
