Answers to Questions
Hi everyone -
I am often sent questions via "Quilt Show Messages"... and darn it, I cannot seem to figure out where these originate from, nor how to answer them! So... hopefully whoever asked the questions can find this set of answers in the Forum...
- Am I both the person who did the Challenge Quilt (show 505) and "THE Sue Garman" that designs the BOM? Yep - that's me, myself and I, all rolled into one!
- Where are the photos of my quilts? They are all on my laptop. Sorry you can't see them there.... someday I'll find the time to sort them out and post some. In the meantime, you can always see a monthly post with quilt "stuff" on my blog (http://www.suegarman.blogspot.com) - I don't post more than once a month because it would bore you to tears -- and to be honest, I don't believe that most people really care to see photos of my family, flowers, food, or vacations. They want to see quilt stuff - and I'm not prolific enough to post more often (sigh!).
- Would I please number the pattern pages? Great idea! In the future, I'll try and do that.
- Would you please put all of the BOM patterns into a single pdf file that could be printed for reference? I'll be honest... that's too much work for me! But more importantly... yikes! The file would be so large that it would crash a lot of computers.
That's all for now... If anyone else has questions, fire away. I hope you are all happily sewing away, loving what you're doing, and finding joy along the way. Life is great!

Hi Sue,
It was me who asked the questions about 'is it you who did BoM'!!!!ops: I have found it a bit of a pain to answer these emails from members who send them via the contact member box. You have to check out the name, then go to members and search for them, then send a reply. So, rather long winded, but I think its done to stop unauthorised people having our email addresses, BUT, you can find them anyway. So TQS, can we have a way of replying to messages sent rather than going through all the above palaver? So Sue, will be visiting your website to check out your quilts. Thanks for answering my queries.

Well how recent is recent Margo??? I have been in contact with Maggie about the whispering fabric upto two weeks ago just by going to reply.
Mind you, one I had from Alex this week had 'DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL! IT IS AN AUTOMATED NOTIFICATION ONLY.' across the top.
If there is anyone out there who has contacted me and haven't seen a reply, it the silly system. I ALWAYS reply to emails! It could explain why I haven't seen a reply/response to a couple.

I agree that is very frustrating! I should think that we were secure enough with getting the original email sent through the site. Then subsequent one should be considered safe, as they are only bouncing between members who have agreed to be email buddies.

Yes, Quilterlynn, I DID see the humor!!! Sue, you are one of the most prolific quilters out there!!! And the quilts you design and make are WONDERFUL!!! I'm just so glad you are so generous with your designs and work. Judy in Torrance
P.S. Just how is the email working between TQS members now?

Judy, it used to be that when we sent an e-mail to another member through their profile, it could be answered directly by just hitting "reply".
Now you get a message "do not reply to this e-mail", so you have to do a search for their screen name to get to their profile and send a reply from there.
Anyway...I've sent a note (read: whinned!) to John and he has forward it to Bob. Maybe it will get put back the way it used to be, or at the very least an explanation of why it's been changed.
