Yes, it's 72. When we get done with september blocks, there will still be 8 more sawtooth stars in one of the final months, for a total of 72. I went back and found the "schedule" of what we're doing each month. After September, then we put that on-point border together! I'm both excited and nervous about that!

I was able to sew for 15 minutes today and finished the last block for August. It's been laid out by my machine since I went to the hospital August 20th! Not too bad! Tonight I'll find my fabrics for September. I posted the pic at show and tell.

I finally got August cut, sewn and paper removed. I finished 1 star last night. I just can't get to the sewing room in the evenings any more so the weekends become marathon quilting sessions. I had my grandaughter up on Sunday. She wanted to sew with grandma so I had her stitch together 4 5" squares on the machine. We used insulbrite for batting and were able to put together a hotpad. She did the quilting (monster stitches), I put on the binding, and she helped with the hand sewing on the binding. She is 8 and this is her first sewing attempt. It looked wonderful (from a distance). I was so proud and pleased. Oops, sort of off topic. Gloria

Thank goodness I've got the 4 star blocks done, and 4 of the sawtooth so far, should be able to finish tha last 4 tonight, I did make some of the sawtooth stars ahead one month, so I may be done after tonight, but had better count them again, I would hate having to start up again after I thought I was through with them. I'm ready for next months upcoming adventure, I think Heidi
