    Bom Quilt Kit

Hi everyone...I'm finally back home and trying to get into the routine again. I ordered the BOM Kit for 2009 and it arrived yesterday. The fabric is beautiful and some of the best I have ever purchased. I got it all washed today. But before I get into starting from January, I have some embroidery work to do on towels as thank you gifts to frineds that took care of my plants while I was gone and to folks who helped us while we were in Florida. Then I will get going on my BOM's for 2009. I have been reading all the comments everyone has made and will refer back to them as I go along. The blocks that everyone has made so far are absollutely beautiful. You will all be way ahead of me but I will keep plugging away until I finish. Good to be back and will keep in touch. Nan...in sunny today Massena, N.Y.

    Hi,Nan,

Glad you are back from your trip. I am using the BOM Quilt Kit also. I just love the fabric colors. I was able to purchase the background fabric for the feathered star for my backing material at Paducah. I was so excited to find it. This is a fun quilt. Paula in Arkansas

Hi Nan: Yes, welcome back indeed, glad you'll be making the 2009 BOM along with us. I can only spend about 1 to 1/2 hours on it during the week, sometimes not that much and I finish all the blocks for that month within 2 weeks, so I'm sure you can get caught up with the rest of us. I also purchased the kit at the 2008 IQF in Houston, and indeed it is beautiful fabric. I can't wait to get if all finished. I'll have a big problem in December as I will be on a two week cruise that starts Nov. 29, and we won't return until December 13, and with Christmas looming right around the corner, I'll probably only get it printed out, so I'll have to get busy with it as soon as I can. I'm already saving my pennies to have it quilted AND on my bed as soon as I can. Heidi

Where can I find the blocks in progress for the 2009 BOM? I'm kind of new to navigating the site though I've been subscribed since the beginning! I just love this years BOM and want to see what everyone's doing. TIA

Go to the purple bar and click Show and Tell and then go to BOM -- you will see all the blocks/stars in progress. The BOM bar is only the tutorial and patterns, not the blocks in progress. Good luck.
