    Houston Get-Together

    Hi everyone --
I know that -- somewhere in this forum -- there is a discussion about getting together on Friday night for dinner in Houston. I have looked and looked... and can't find it! Please add me to the reservation, along with a friend who is carpooling with me. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone.
    Thanks --
    Sue Garman

And we are looking forward to meeting YOU!

I met a quilter-friend/acquaintence of yours the other day and had a class with her. Her name is Winnie Flemming and we totally enjoyed her trunk show, ideas, and her class!

It was entitled Border Bonanza and it was excellent! I learned so much I went home and cut and measured and sewed like a crazy woman. Then reality hit and I had to go back to work. ha so now, my sewing room looks like, well........like a crazy woman lives there!

Thank you, Wanda, for adding me and my friend (Cynthia) to the dinner reservation.

Lynn -- yes, Winnie Fleming is a FUN gal!!! We see each other often -- she changed my world when I took her Border Bonanza class many years ago; she is so friendly and sweet - and her quilts are all incredible!

I am REALLY looking forward to seeing everyone who comes to the dinner. For those of you not coming to dinner, if you are at the IQA show in Houston, drop by the TQS booth at 1 pm; Margo and I will both be there. Watch out - I'm bringing my camera so I can take pictures of everyone!!!!

too late. It's on to stay!

This is going to be so much fun. Hopefully everyone will bring a shapshot of their project at this point.

I have the same 10# that I want to hide! So I promise - pictures will be from the shoulders up. Or maybe the ankles down. Everyone's choice!

You all have no idea how green with envy I am that you are getting to meet each other in person. My daughter and I attended the Houston show in 2005 and 2006, but neither of us has been able to swing it since. I absolutely loved the experience and believe me I'll be there in spirit.

would you believe it snowed BIG snowflakes today - in October! it's so cold. I really need to be somewhere warm - Houston would be just right, sadly no chance this year, but I will be there in spirit. Have a fantastic time ladies, buy lots of fabric, I will be thinking of you having FUN. xx ann in England, UK (I am working on my 3rd BOM, using batiks on different pale backgrounds, I love to hand sew)
