Cathy, your block is stunning! And such fun, with the butterfly. We are all "hoping" along with you for successful surgery for Bradley.

Debbie, I started to look at your September block and ended up enjoying all your quilts. They are all so nice. You do beautiful quilting, I'm impressed. My September block is done and photographed, but not yet up on my profile.

Dear BOM sisters Maggie, Margo, Nancy & Margarita!! Thank you so very much for your constant encouragement...I'm afraid that I have two of the most intense BOM to do (July and April and October is coming too) all those berries!! LOL..but they are all cut out turned and ready to sew!
I'm finally getting my studio just the way I want it...I would love to get rid of the "blue shag" carpet...but alas it's glued down to the cement floor, my studio was a former Garage! At least it's warm and I don't have to put everything away when I'm done sewing!
Thanks again you are all the best!
                      Blessings,
                      Debbie S.

My September is posted! From all the earlier discussions, I wasn't sure how I was going to do the tiny stamens, but when I got to that, I wasn't at home so couldn't do anything that required ironing or whatever (or I would have needed to wait... not something I'm good at!) so I simply back-basted just like I've been doing, trimming VERY close to make them thin enough. Very happy with the result. Tried the same for the larger circles, one worked the other not so well, so I DID wait & used Sue's method w/ just water & heat, very happy w/ those results too. Better than starch!
                        On to October!

Yes Florence I was looking at those thin little stamens too and wondering how I was going to do that. I'm still working on March so it's a long way off for me.

Anyway nice job Florence and Debbie. Both of your blocks are very pretty in colors you chose. Debbie I was looking at your profile too and got a giggle from your cat all tucked into a quilt.

Florence, Your block is beautiful! They all are and the backing is perfect - actually a skinny sashing in that might be just the thing.

You are going to have a very stunning quilt for sure,

Florence, great block! It is so exciting that we are nearing the finish!

Debbie, I just took the time to look at your studio. SUPER! Isn't it great to have a space to work and not worry about having to put it away! Even if you can get 5 minutes to work on something, it is totally better than 50 minutes in a therapist's office.

But, if that is your garage converted, where does DH's Harley live? Surely it has a nice home!

                                Patti,
My kitty(Nel) is my little quilt helper for sure! I get just a small scrap of batting or fabric out and she has to make sure she sits on it for me! I have to lay aluminum foil on any quilt that I'm quilting on the long-arm...she will use it as a "kitty hammock"!! What a helper, right??
                                Maggie,
Not to worry about the Harley, you're right, it lives in a double car garage around back. Mind you no cars live back there just another Harley and a Honda!! I think it's Rick's outdoor studio!! Don't ask about the Guitar collection in our daughter's old bedroom!
I get live music every day!!
Both of our hobbies ARE cheaper than professional mental health therapy and much more fun!!

                                Blessings,
                                Debbie S.
