Boy, did all of you miss this forum as much as I did!!! I finished my April block and posted it in my profile...I'm going to have to change the description, somehow the March description got on the april block??? I thought the block was easier than March. Looking forward to May, which I think is the lower left corner. Am I right, Sue?

    Nancy in NC

P.S. I love all the posted blocks, Ritzy, yours are spectacular...and so original!

I am one of the LOST blocks - but did get my block posted right before the forum went down.

This was a great block and enjoyed it! I worked on it while my hubbie was recovering from surgery. Tried to make the first 12 but all those circles I guess. All the blocks I have seen are so beautiful - some very talented quilters and appliequers (sp) out there.

      Enjoy,
      Bonny

Nancy and Bonny, your blocks are beautiful! I have my April block ready to start--I've been going back and forth as to which fabric I want to use for my basket. I think I know now and am going to get started tonight! I vote that April looks alot easier than March was.

Have you noticed that the star in the background of several blocks is the same? I have started on the star so when the first of May comes I'll be part way there.

Judy, that's a great idea. I think I'll do the same...then the star part will be done. Actually, we can go ahead and applique the star to the background...can't we????

I think that because the vases are all shaped a little different it would be a good idea to make all of the star points complete triangles to be sure they are big enough. That way the background star can be done before the pattern is posted.

Are we anxious or WHAT!!!

This evening I have been prepping my pieces for the April block. I also noticed that the next month has a background star and was thinking the same thing about getting started on that ahead of time. Of course I can plan ahead all I want but will be lucky to get the April block done before the end of the month. I will take it with me but I leave tomorrow for a business trip up to Wichita Falls, TX and Altus, OK. I will be back next Friday. Hopefully I will get some time to work on my April BOM.

That's what I did. One of the vases is really wide. I am going to make all those darn circles ahead of time too.

I got my April blocks finished and posted in my Member blog during the forum's recent illness. Thanks to all of you who posted comments. I think I am having BOM withdrawal now because I was working so hard to keep up and now have a couple of weeks before the next one is posted. Oh well time for some other projects.

Thanks Margo for putting all the blocks in your webpage. It really helps to have one place to look and see all of them for each month at once.

Everybody's blocks are great. Ritzy I really love yours. Your colors are so vibrant. Wonderful choices.

And even Dana posted hers that some of her friends laughed at- If she decides to give it away I have told her I want it, I think it is great.

Well as you can tell Sue and her unique blocks are even getting me to like applique wonder of all wonders!

Ann (this is number three one more to go I wonder where next)

                              Love to see everyone again.

Do not get behind on the blocks of the month!

Whew! I got March and April done this month. I enjoy it more when I can focus on just one block. I plan on not getting behind, I can see where it would get overwhelming if one is several months behind.

Everyone"s April block looks wonderful. It sure is fun to see the variety.
