Meet me in the Chat Room on March 5!

    Hi everyone --

Sue Garman here. I have just spent a couple of hours catching up on all of the work that you all have done on Bouquets. "Wow!" is all that I can say - my jaw is dragging the floor! I just love the creativity you have each brought to this project with techniques, fabrics, color choices, etc. Isn't it amazing what we can all do when we want to do it?! A special thanks goes to Margo for her willingness to provide additional tips and photos; she's been a real champ!

I thought I would let you know that I am going to be in the "chat room" on Wednesday, March 5, at 7:00 pm (Central time). If you have any questions, comments, or just want to say "hi" to everyone else in this wonderful community, hop on the computer and join in. I'm looking forward to spending some time with all of you!

Will have to put that on the calender to be in the chat room them. I love your patterns Sue and have been a fan since I found them at Quakerstown Quilts while living in SW Louisiana. Was going to Alvin one weekend and went there and left when a few of your patterns.

Sue - Thank you so much for sharing your creative talents with TQS!!! I am excited to be doing applique for the first time - and it is the excitement of so many members who are already participating in your BOM that have inspired me to "take the leap". Thanks again for your generosity! Mary Kay

The chat was great tonight....I only got to stay about 25 minutes of it since I had a meeting to go to, but it was good to be able to read the rest on transcript. I'd sure come to show and tell in LaVeta....what fun

I had my January block almost finished and my friend Camille came for a visit this week and she thought I was playing a joke on her. And as she was laughing very loudly and almost falling out of the chair, she said, "Dana, that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen, what were you thinking"? I could not believe she said that  And by now I was laughing too. Now, I had not really thought of it as ugly.........just different. She kept saying that she could not believe that I had spent all that time hand appliquing this block. I have to admit, it is a bit wild, maybe I'll put it on a blog someday, but in the end, I decided that I really could not do 12 blocks with that background.........so I'll just keep it as practice. It was sure worth all the hours of work on the block just to watch Camille.

So now I have started over, thank goodness, it's only March. I'm starting with February's block.......I can't stand the thought of appliqueing those stems and leaves for January again right now. I'm so excited about this project and at least somebody got some enjoyment out of my rejected block.

I read the transcripts and it looks like you had a lot of fun! I was busy helping with homework and stuff so I missed the chat as well. I'd be happy to leave daddy in charge of the homework-helping and run away to La Veta! Count me in! (Oh yeah -- is there any of that cake left?)

Wow, was it wonderful in chat last night or what! It was my first time and it was a fascinating hour. We all learned so much. As soon as it was over, I went to the shoppe and ordered a pin...didn't even know there was one. I wear all my pins on a fabric "scarf" I wear to meetings and will add this new one. I'm starting on the March BOM...those stems and leaves will be a challenge, but I can do it!!! Can't I??? Sorry, Dana, that yours didn't turn out as you hoped. That can happen, as we all know.
