    We Have a Winner

Hi Sedona Star Ladies. I wanted to share my good news with everyone. Arizona Quilt Guild has their show this week and I am proud to say that my quilt Majestic Sedona won First Place in the Mixed Large category, whoo hoo!!! Also, it won a second ribbon for BEST OF SHOW!!!! I can't begin to tell you what an absolute thrill it was to be presented that award. In January, after the quilt top was complete, I was very hesitant in going forward with the quilting as I knew it was going to be a monumental task. I told myself, you've come this far, why not go farther. I'm so glad I had that little talk with myself. To be recognized with a Best of Show was very gratifying as this was only the second quilt I've ever entered in a quilt show to be judged. So my message to all of you Sedona Stars pursue and push, don't give up and become discouraged, you will learn so much from your experience. Thanks to all of you for your comments, suggestions, etc. This has been a very rewarding experience and am very glad to have been a part of it.
