Anyone else just starting Sedona Star?

I discovered The Quilt Show website at the end of December, 2012. I was clicking on all of the different pages and stumbled on the BOM pages. I noticed that the patterns and directions for other years were gone so I guessed that if I wanted the Sedona Star pattern that I better download all of it. I am so glad I did. The next job was to decide on colors/fabrics. While I loved the bright colors in the main example, the muted earth tones are our colors. I wore out my google search looking for all the components for Buttons and Blooms! The last package arrived today of fabrics! I love them. I am now waiting on my order of Stable Stuff. So, is anyone else just starting Sedona Star? I look forward to making this quilt and referencing the forum for important Q&A.

Yes I started this quilt December 15 2012. It is sure a challenging quilt. I have the components of block one done but not put together. I'm trying to do the Sedona star using fabric from my stash. I have February's blocks done. Used Sulky Blendables for the applique.

I haven't started yet, but I think I am going to. I loved looking through all the show and tell at the beautiful color combinations. I hope you will post your progress as you go along.

Great to hear I have company for this challenge! I called the company I ordered the Stable Stuff from, it's back ordered until next week. I picked up a package of printable stabilizer from JoAnns tonight. It seems to be similar. I am going to get started tomorrow on Month 1 using this new stabilizer for the foundations.

Sewmea, it sounds like you have gotten a lot done in a short time.

Lulabelle, I, too was inspired by all the gorgeous quilts in the posts.

I ordered and received the Sedona Star quilt from the Quilt Show Shoppe in March last year. I had so many projects ongoing at that time, I decided to make it my project for 2013. Tonight I opened my package, checked the Button & Bows fabrics and saw that there was no pattern or templates included. Then I remembered that it was a 'block of the month" project and there were instructional videos posted on a monthly basis on the Quilt Show site. Imagine my horror to discover that the PDFs are no longer available ! What do I do now? I'd love to start my Sedona Star, but I'm not sure I can, without having the PDF Templates available to print out.

I have been in love with this quilt and trying to get it started!! Got all the fabric a year ago then life just happened!
Everything is in a 3-ring binder, foundationd are all printed, and I have to finish up 3 projects and then it's me time.
I'm also glad to see I have company on this journey.

Thank you very much for e-mailing the PDF's to me Lotti. I have the instructions and templates printed out. I'm having a little difficulty with the instructions for month 10, it keeps printing only page 13 and then it stalls out. The same with month 12; page 15 gets stuck. I've tried several times and copied other templates with no difficulty in between my attempts to go back and print of these problem pages. John also very kindly requested that Jeannie copy these to me, maybe those will print out these two months. Thank you again Lotti and John.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll try printing these instructions today, and hopefully figure out what's wrong. As I havn't started the quilt, I'm not there yet... Just hoarding all the instructions along with a fabric stash to do a number of the quilts...

the PDFs are no longer available. I have commented to the company and can only hope they will provide them to us. Thankfully, it seems that some kind folks might be willing to help. Thanks! I would be bummed to not be able to make this beaty.

I am sorry for your misunderstanding. The SEDONA STAR was the TQS BOM for 2012 and the patterns were to be available free to "Star" members only until December 31, 2012.

You can now purchase the pattern directly from Sarah Vedeler: http://sarahvedelerdesigns.danemcowe...edona-star-03/

The BOM we are working on this year (2013) is TWO OF US and the patterns will be available free to "Star" members only until December 31, 2013.

The annual BOM patterns is only one of the things that make a "Star" membership in TQS a terrific value!
