    June Templates & Cutwork

Sarah, would it be possible to use the Bernina Cutwork tool to cut out the templates for the next three months? If so, would it be even remotely possible to show a video or something using it for this purpose? (I would completely understand if you can't as I know you must be very busy.) I own a Bernina 830, have the V6 software and also the cutwork. I really don't want to purchase the Go cutter especially since I have the cutwork tool that I should get more use out of and have already purchased.
I am enjoying everything about the Sedona Star BOM and look forward to each month. I love that I have been challenged by certain aspects of the project, which is wonderful! I am caught up with and ready to start June's blocks. I haven't posted any pictures yet... Just haven't gotten around to it!
Thank you so much for all your hard work and excellent patterns and instructions. I appreciate it very much.

    Hello cb4land2,

I don't - and won't! - use the cutwork tool. In my opinion it is a very time consuming way of cutting and the cuts are not the best. Since you have the v6 software and the cutwork tool this is what I would suggest if you really want to use the cutwork tool:

    - in the v6 software, save a copy of each design.
    - strip off everything except for the applique placement lines.
    - save this and import it into the cutwork software.
    - you should be able to use this stitching line as the basis for the cutwork.

In the absence of a GO! cutter and the dies, I would actually be more inclined to trace the shapes onto fusible webbing and cut them out by hand.

    Kind regards,
    Sarah :-)

Thank you, Sarah. This is exactly the kind of information that I like to know, (and need!) I will certainly not be using the cut work tool for this project, but I do think I will play around with it on the side and see if I can get it to work using the placement lines as you you mentioned... I did purchase your v6 download for the month of June. So will content myself with cutting out the designs I need this month and get to work on the embroidery next month!
