Actually, if you want info from Sarah, you need to contact her through her TQS profile. Apparently she isn't able to monitor the forums:

To update you all, I did PM Sarah yesterday about this, and she sent another copy of the corrected templates to Lilo. Is Lilo also in California? That might explain it. I may try the "contact us" link as well. I'll keep you posted!

I emailed Sarah to her site and she replied to me almost immediately. It seems Lila is posting the new templates maybe today, but Sarah sent me them as an attachment to the email and I have successfully printed them onto stabiliser. The measurements seem correct.

I just got this message from Ashley about some of the BOM issues:
Hi Margo:
John asked me to address this today, while he and the rest of the crew are at Road. If I give you some information would you mind passing it along to the forum? I suppose I could post it on my own, but I don't want to just jump in seeing that most people don't even know I'm a behind the scenes person.
The Fizz (bright) kits are already cut and almost ready to ship—but we're waiting for 2 fabrics to arrive from the manufacturer. We thought about sending the kits without the 2 missing fabrics, but they are required for Month 1-3. On Monday I should have a better time estimate for the arrival of the fabrics. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of the manufacturer, as these were 2 fabrics that they had to reprint for us. We are hoping to ship by VERY early February, but I will have a more concrete timeframe on Monday.
As for the templates and other pattern issues, I have an email in to Sarah Vedeler to see if she can't hop into the forum this weekend and take care of some of the questions. (Between you and me, Sarah is extremely busy, but I know she will be willing to help out, it just depends on when she can get to it.)
Please let me know if there is any other information I can get you about the BOM. I'm on top of the project behind the scenes, so I'm always happy to answer questions.
Thanks,
Ashley

Hello Everyone,
Regarding the templates - there is nothing at all wrong with the "first" set. The issue is with some of the printers that are being used to print them - and there is nothing that I can do about that. The second set does have wider margins for those printers that have a small print area.
All you need to do to know if (all of) your templates are correct is to print the first page from the first template. If this measures 8" across 4 of the background squares in both directions, then your printer is printing accurately. If it measures anything other than 8" then you will need to find a different printer to print with.
If you are worried about the templates and their"correctness" go look at the photos of the two different colorways of the completed quilts. They were both constructed using these very same templates - using a whole bunch of different printers to print them! Also check out the photos in the Show and Tell area. There are members who have successfully finished their "month 1" assignments and you can see their results in Show and Tell.
I too was "suffering" from Road 2 CA absenteeism for 4 days earlier this week. I think it must be catching!
Sarah :-)

The templates for the BOM have been revised!! I checked earlier today, and happily reprinted my template 3. My printer was one of "those" that did not print all the registration marks, and although I had no trouble matching up the pages for template 1, I had gotten template 3 WAY OFF. Having the registration marks made all the difference for me in constructing template 3, as well as sewing it to the rest... So Happy!!
