That's very pretty JoJo!! I like the bows, holly and blue piping in the swags.

I love it when a quilt warms me with special memories!

Thanks Annis. I made the bows first and then realized that they would not sufficiently cover the broken corner swags so I had to go back to the drawing board and extend the side swags to one piece instead of two. It end up being a little more difficult for me because once I made the corners into one large swag, those middle sections of the swags became very narrow. I sure could have used some of your talent in working with small pieces.

Jo Jo, very, VERY nice! It just looks so warm and inviting! I'm looking forward to getting back to my month 3. Like you, I'm thinking it will go much faster once that is done! And, I still have to design the month 3 corner blocks, so I have "listened" to your bow story.

Thank you Dawn. I have you to thank because it was your inspiration that got me started on designing all of the new pieces.

Yes, please make sure you 'don't do as I did' and make the corner blocks without confirming for sure. My bows are nice slim ribbons and I just missed it. Although, now that they are done, I really like the look of the extended swags.

Hey Robin! Thanks for the compliment and for helping me at the beginning when I never thought I would be able to design a poinsettia. It's been a fun experience and one that I highly recommend everyone do at some time. I have completely been out of my comfort zone nearly every step of the way, but you know, it opened up my eyes a lot.

You know the old saying 'it takes a village'? Well, thank you to all of you for being my village and helping me when I need it. I appreciate each and every one of you!

Lovely Jo Jo. I love the holly and berries. It makes me want to make a Christmas wall-hanging. Will it be ready for Christmas this year?

I just completed my version of Ruffled Roses last night and I am wondering if anybody has any tricks or tips to do with avoiding fraying of the edges of all those strips on the outer boarder? Is it a good/bad idea to sew less than a 1/4 seam around the whole outside of the quilt? Would fabric glue like Fray Stop around the edges be a good/bad idea? What do you all do? Rita.

                            WOW!! Rita it looks amazing!!

Yes, stitching about 1/8" around the outside edge will help keep all those seams ends from coming unstitched!
It's a good idea for any quilt top with seams that have not been back-stitched.
