I know Alex did mention it, but I have forgotten and I don't see it in any of the descriptions - what is the size of the quilt?

In the past, there has sometimes been alternatives for pieced blocks for those of us who do not enjoy such large amounts of applique. Do you know if there is a plan for alternative pieced blocks?

Is the fabric simply tonal hand dyed or are there patterns in the hand-dyed?

    Thank you

Lisa, during the year I will show what I am doing on my Ocean Waves quilt. There will be very little appliqué on mine. And I am considering a patterned background fabric for the “Flower Garden” area that surrounds the center. That area is perfect for lovely quilting.

The batiks are all tonal, no pattern.

Hi, what is the size of the square star blocks, and when will the Accuquilt dies be available for purchase?

The star blocks are 9" square. The dies are expected in Oct/Nov. You will order them from Accuquilt or your local shop.

I’ve purchased the kit but it doesn’t show up in my ‘latest purchases’. Is there anywhere to check the order went through?

I use a fabric cutter, i.e. Silhouette, Brother Scan N Cut or Cricut Will it be possible to provide the SVG files to cut the pieces out that are being provided for the Aquiquilt.

We are excited to partner with Accuquilt on this project. They have been working to produce the specialty dies for Flight of the Bumblebee for many months. It is the only die cutter we will have for this project.

Will the tri-rec ruler work on the star points? It appears there are 2 different stars, but 1 looks like these rulers might work. If I don't buy the star die.

I paper pieced them, the most accurate way for me. Tri Recs work for some people. All instructions will come next year when the BOM begins.

Getting Ready... I'm new to Accuquilt. How do I know which cutter will accommodate the new dies?

I believe they will work with all the Accuquilt cutters. I will get a more definitive answer for you in a few days. I have the Go Bolt and it worked great.

Can we change the preorder from ocean colorway to mountain meadow and how to do that. I paid for the preordered kit already

Customer service is open until 3PM pacific time. I have sent them a few emails with no response regarding switching the colorway for Flight of the Bumblebee. Any suggestions on how to do this since they have not responded. Customer service for the Quilt Show in my experience leaves a lot t to be desired.

Accuquilt applique dies usually come with the embroidery stitches. Will the BOM applique also come with these stitch designs? Makes a difference on which die I purchase

My order has been changed. Thank you to Barbara and The Quilt store for their quick response. Can't wait to star this quilt although I have numerous other projects which need finishing.

I don’t believe so. These are custom dies specially made for this quilt. The only embroidery on the quilt is straight line, a bumblebee and an inchworm. Alex will teach these embroidery motifs as part of the BOM.
