Month 2 was really a challenge. But when following the video steps of Becky precisely it works. Spent the whole Sunday and made 2 mistakes, used Scotch for making the paper construction and 1x cut to early piece 3. As Barbara said add a ruler did not work for me this time, did as Becky did. Like this BOM very much and perhaps will make a scrap version. Greetings from Germany

I cheated and started on Tuesday. Barbara made me do this as she did the pattern more than once. I used vellum and I am a convert. The bright one will probably only be the center with a border. Not sure about the prints. I will do the solids as the whole BOM. We will see if this holds.

Now back to machine quilting last year’s BOM. Probably 3/4 done.

Great job! This might be a "Doritos quilt"--it's hard to stop with just one...

Reduced to 50% done with the freezer paper technique. It’s probably easier because the pieces are smaller.

Lynnanne, that is beautiful! I am excited to watch this grow.
I tried using the full size freezer paper yesterday and was not successful--my center points were so far off after the 4th piece I took it apart and printed vellum. Much better for me with that. Wish I had decided to try 50%.

Lynnanne, It looks fabulous. I have not even started yet. Watch the videos, read the directions and printed one corner out
on vellum at 65%. I have been working on a hexie quilt. Going to have to set it aside and get back to Game ON. HelenW

Thanks Helen. This BOM is fun, and well organized, just like they all are. I’m still trying to finish quilting Laurel Ridge on my sewing machine and it’s slow going! I did a hexie quilt years ago by hand while I was traveling for my job. Yours is coming along well, you’re always onto new projects! If you will allow it I would like to contact you with a private message sometime. Lynn

Thanks Barbara, it’s what you taught us for Color My World. I just don’t have enough fabric to make the large version and I can’t get the kits because I live abroad. You are a really good teacher.

Thanks. I say it is my job to make all the mistakes so you don't have to. Your quilt is so good!

I enjoy seeing all the different colors being used. It makes me want to try other colors. But these are lovely.

Month 2 with my own fabrics. Went off the script some but very happy with it. Doing my own fabrics before the solid kit to iron out the kinks.

I don’t know where my words went… I couldn’t obtain the vellum in the vellum had did not work in my printer, so I’m using the newsprint style paper. And my lightbox was fundamental in helping me align the pieces

Using a lightbox is a great idea!

This looks so good when put together. These fabrics are so out of my normal, but I am stretching my comfort zone and enjoying it.
Instructions are great. The first block took all afternoon, but the fourth one only took 30 minutes! I am ready for the next month.

Love your block Linda Lee. I too decided to go with black instead of white. Did 2 sections yesterday and hope to do
the other 2 today. After seeing yours, I will probably redo my Jan. blocks, because I really like the black diamonds, I
used gold, but I like the effect you get with black. I am doing my wall hanging at 65% of normal size. HelenW
