I added Odiferous Grippy to the back of my 1.5” bloc_loc square and using my scissors to trim. Going much faster!

I’m truly enjoying these blocks. Yes, Laurel Ridge is a beautiful quilt. But my main goal in taking it on was to advance my skills by working with small pieces. My comfort level in month 9 makes clear that I’m achieving that goal… and so much more! My heartfelt thanks to Lynn and Barbara. You are making a wonderful difference in my quilting life!

Excellent! Improving the “cutting, sewing and pressing” steps makes a lot of difference in being successful. Well done!

Ann, your blocks are absolutely stunning—thank you for sharing not just your work, but the journey behind it. I saved this block for last because it’s the most intricate, and it beautifully reflects the skills you’ve been honing month by month. Everything you’ve learned and practiced shines through in this final 5-1/2" block.

Your blocks are beautiful. The top row, third from the left has the bottom row upside down. Trust me, I did that more than once myself.

I’m so happy with my perfect blocks and a couple next to perfect…thank you Lynn for your awesome piecing tips and I’m not a beginner piecer. Ha.❤️ I’ve had to divide my blocks due to space but here are a few.

I have finished half of Septembers blocks. When I chose fabric for my quilt I decided on a grey fabric instead of the ivory in the spring version. I thought it would give it a rainy day vibe. Now Im concerned about value, But its a little late in the game. I guess we'll see how it all shakes out. Also my plaid is not on a diagonal which really changes the look.

It is always nice to hear that others have similar thoughts. I felt like month 9 blocks seemed to take forever to finish Previously I have worked with small pieces like this block uses, but I had forgotten the challenge.
The plaid fabric I chose is a larger pattern which makes it appear more like a stripe or block. In hindsight sight I wonder what would happen if I had cut this fabric on the bias. I do like the color variation, it reminds me of fruit stripe gum!

My plaid did the same thing, Bias cut would have been more like the original quilt, but I like the stripes too.

Busy trimming my HS triangles for month 9. A tip - I stuck a small square of carpet tape ( sticky 2sides) on the back of my ruler to hold the little devils still.
