The Spring version has flowers in the baskets, so I fussy cut flowers for my Autumn quilt. I am also adding more color variety. Lynn, Love this BOM! and really appreciate yours and Barbara's videos. Cindy

      Dear Cindy,
I'm delighted to hear you're enjoying the BOM! Your blocks turned out beautifully, and I love how you perfectly centered the flowers in each one. The extra color you incorporated will truly make your baskets come to life around the center. Fantastic work! --Lynn

I like the fabrics you chose for the basket base. The change between the vessel and the feet of the basket really is nice!

These blocks are so cute! Slow steady piecing on my White Rotary treadle. I am doing a southwest theme with fabrics from my stash. I did try to fussy cut the cacti, but I may embroider some also. In the baskets I will embroider a different design on each basket, This summer I will be doing hand projects when we travel back to Wisconsin for a few months. 20 of these blocks and some Sue Bonnet Sue blanket stitching. I have already done the appliqué blocks a few months back.
Thanks for all the great instructions!

      Dear Linda,
It's a great idea you have about adding some embroidery in the baskets. You are really moving right along on these little cuties! --Lynn

So here is my embroidery and a few beads on my first basket. I will be machine quilting this onna sit down so not concerned about beading, I am thinking I might just free motion cacti in basket but we will see as I go along.

Looking great!!! For those that don't know, if you click on the photos they will enlarge and be right
side up. So be sure to do that. Do you stay stitch all out outside block seams? The beads are great.
Really add to the interest. Will they be in the way when you quilt it? Just wondering. HelenW

I don’t stay stitch my blocks. I did within this one this one as they will be traveling with me this summer to do embroidery and I don’t want the seams to open up with handling them. Thanks!

It is really starting to take form! I’m planning the embroidery for the center of the star. The right side of the photo I have started to join the blocks in a linear dimension (mostly to give myself some room on my design wall).

All done piecing my baskets, just need to trim. Had so much h fun with Lynn Wilder at her retreat this past week. I sewed like a demon to get these sone in two days. So much fun and so much talent in one room. If you get a chance to go to Lynn's retreats do, it is more than a privilege. Lynn is a phenomenal teacher and is so kind and generous. The food was great, the other retreaters were awesome and I made new, hopefully life long friends.
