Thanks Barbara. It has improved with practice. I did cheat a little and broke the 3 branch tree into 3 pieces instead of the one piece in the pattern. I don’t like tight inside corners, they are my Achilles heel, plus I noticed from the photos on your blog that Jen had done the same thing.

Finished all my applique this afternoon and looking forward to some quiet embroidery time next month. All of my blocks are finished, but I’ve realized that if I want to use it on a full sized bed I’ll have to make another round of blocks to get it to size.

Sheridan D. It has been fun watching your quilt grow. I think the black 1/4 inch stripes that were
in the Jen Kingwell lolli fabrics really add interest without being a lot of extra work. Your quilt looks
            great. HelenW

Thanks Helen. If I had my time again I wouldn’t have put the black lines in the month 2 blocks. They look a bit busy but done now so they have to stay.

I think I may have screwed this up and posted as a comment, rather than my own post…apologies!
I posted comments with the photos, but don’t see those either…
My thoughts are there’s so much being “said” in the log cabin blocks that I will get this long armed first and then see if I want any appliqué or embroidery on it…which i can add topside later.
I have 32 fans left to paper piece and sew…loving this quilt and using up my Tula and texty B&W prints too! (I did start with a kit…)
