There are 6 pages for Month 7, the last 3 show the embroidery motifs for two Log Cabin borders.

I'm afraid I don't see them either. They have not come up on the regular BOM page?

Good morning, Barbara. I, also, cannot see the patterns for month 7. I’ve logged in and out several times, and the only items appearing are the introduction, months 1-6, and your blog section. Items 1-8. Thank you for any assistance.

It is 9:30 AM EST The newsletter says pattern available. However, click on Get The Patterns. All you get is a 404 Not Found.
Yes, I am logged in. Also, month 7 is not on the list. It only goes to month 6.

IMPORTANT—Month 7 is now up. The link in the newsletter will remain broken so you have to go to the LEARN section and find it under Pick A Petal. Wednesday newsletter will fix the link but it is on the website today July 1.

Thanks Barbara for sorting it out. I have pattern now. Website wouldn’t even let me comment on this page even though I was login. Got the problem fixing on my iPad but still having problems with laptop and phone. I will contact the help desk if I can’t fix it.

Sewskeel, I love using the size #8 pearl cotton. When I use DMC floss I use 3 strands to get a
somewhat similar look to the #8. Barbara said the kit is #12, I usually use 2 strand of 12 to get
the thickness of #8. I am no pro at embroidery. I have just got what I like by trial and error.

Wanted to offer any help you may have when working on the embroidery.

I don't have the kit, so not sure what threads were included. I use Sue Spargo’s Eleganza threads made by Wonderfil. They come in #8, #5 and #3 weights (left to right in photo). You would want to match your needle to the weight of the thread. For example, I typically use a #24 Chenille needle (on left in photo) when using the #8 thread and a #18 Chenille (on right) for the other two heavier threads.

In the photo of the leaf, I used #8 thread for bullion knots on edge and #5 for closed fly stitch down the center of the left.

Hope this helps, and please don’t hesitate to ask!

The kit uses Wonderfil Spagetti size 12 wt.
