I am now stopped until I can find more Magic Sizing. I am using Karen Kay Buckley's method for preparing my applique shapes and I've run out. I couldn't find any at any of the local (within 45 miles) grocery, big box or dollar type stores. I ordered some from Amazon and it looks like it might not even have shipped, although I can't get a refund until Saturday if it doesn't show up (was supposed to have been delivered by last Sat but got an email saying there was a delay). I DO NOT want to use starch - I want the sizing.
Does anyone have any more suggestions on where I should be looking? Do not suggest Wal Mart as I will not set foot in one of those stores and haven't for close to 20 years now. I checked out best press, but that is a starch. I was able to get enough of my shapes done before I ran out that I was able to put my borders on, but I still have to do the last 4 birds/wings plus the leaves at the ends of the stems. And of course, I'm looking at all the pink and purple colored tear drop shapes for next month as well.
Thanks for any more suggestions on where to look. I was shocked it wasn't at my local Kroger store.

I went to Faultless Magic Sizing website and their store locator. For the town nearest me Coeur d' Alene Idaho, they said it
was at Albertson, Walgreens, Safeway, and Fred Meyer. You might go to the site and check the store locator for your
area. You did not mention where you live. Good luck. HelenW

THANK YOU! I did not realize that it was Faultless brand. I can actually order it directly from them. My husband won't be happy that I am buying 2 cans, but they offer flat rate shipping if you buy 2 or more products. I am located in rural Ohio, but I can get to Columbus and Dayton within my 45 mile limit. I've actually been looking at various stores for several months while I've been doing other errands. The locator showed me that only Wal Mart stores within 200 miles of me carry the sizing.

Having the vines in the wrong place on the month seven template IS a big deal because I had to pick out vines that I had sewn down in Month 7 following the lines shown in the month 7 template. This left my silver pen marks and my sewing marks showing when I moved the vines down so that they would cross below the star and not in the star. It would be an easy fix to change the line on that template before other quilters mark their line according to that template. Please correct the template line on the month seven pattern. The quilt is beautiful and so fun, but this was a very frustrating mistake for me.

I am sorry you had trouble with the vines.
The vines are not in the wrong place. They are as the designer wanted them. Most of us had no problem getting the side border vines to flow around the corners once attached to the quilt. They have to be left free until then. I did not draw lines on those borders until I knew where I wanted them to go.
Some people drew out their corners on paper to get a pleasant look. I provided lots of answers to questions about my own placement, size of the birds, etc.
This designer encourages people to be “organic” with the design, perhaps that is why she didn’t give lots of additional guidelines. We have to go with her design as presented.

I stopped using the silver gel pen after the second month. I really dislike it and I hate that it leaves a shadow when the fabric is turned. By the time I got to month 7, I was using chalk, pencil and a Clover white marking pen (fine), depending on what I was doing. I used pencil to mark my vines, then had to erase the lines when I moved the vines, but at least I could erase the marks. I haven't tossed the silver pen yet, but it's been relegated to the box that I don't get into very often.
If you have sewing marks from the needle piercing the fabric, sometimes you can use a fingernail to scrape along the hole to get the fabrics to go back to their normal woven alignment. If my fingernails are too short, I'll use anything that is a hard plastic (old credit card, pampered chef plastic scrapers for their stones, or whatever else I can find).
