This BOM is not as much fun as last year. Once agin, I have spent an entire morning trying to get the colors from the kit matched to instructions, color chart and photos. I’m worn outSusan Skeel

I've never done any of the BOMs before in real time, so this is my first one. Normally, I am printing things out but going back a year or many more later to work on the quilt! I dislike some of the colors used in certain places so I've made whatever changes I wanted, so I am having fun. I've already purchased a second fabric for the birds as I don't want 8 blue birds - I'm going to have 4 red and 4 blue instead. I'm sorry to hear that you are not having as much fun as I am.

I agree that it isn't as much fun. I appreciate that Barbara is helping us with colors but it's still time consuming. I also think that Sarah's video instructions are subpar. I think my placement from Month 7 is way off. I'll work with what I have.
-
I agree, Sarah's videos are not helpful at all. Thank goodness we have Barbara!!!
-
I have reasoned that my problem is not knowing the names of the fabrics because we don’t have enough of the salvage to read it. But I realized the color names are not on several of the pieces. The numbers don’t even help identify them

I go to google and type in what does Tula Pink "fill in the name of what I'm looking for" look like. Then I look at the images that show up. I know the list also shows how many inches of the fabric we started with, so sometimes I can tell by that. I've got notes on several of my pictures. Like tiny dots bluebell has the aqua dots where tiny dots sky has the pink dots. I did the same thing on several of the tiny stripe fabrics as well. I even have a note that says how I figure out which of the unicorn poop colors I should use. One says very light green, one says aqua, one says pale blue edging toward lavender because when I printed out month one, the photos didn't come out with true colors on my printer. I did a lot of that marking on month one when I was trying to line up the fabrics in order. Now they are a mess so I'm glad I had my notes. And I still look them up just to be sure when I cut strips and didn't make the notes and no longer have the full strip of what we started with.
