Where's the pattern for this block? None of the links work; all I get is the resource page.

I found it the same place I always do -- in the tab to the right of Barbara's video for this month, "Patterns/Documents"

      https://thequiltshow.com/learn/category/block-of-the-month-classroom/2022-garden-party-down-under/garden-party-down-under-bom-2022-month-04

If you don't see that tab, maybe try another browser. Someone said they had trouble seeing it in Chrome, although that's what I'm using and it shows up fine for me.

I would appreciate if you could post a picture of your block, Barbara. I am working with the fabric pack from TQS and use your block to give me an idea of possible fabric choices. Thank you.

      Barbara,
Are you trimming the fabric from the back of the appliques?
Barbara,
Are you trimming the fabric from the back of the appliques?
Great question, my answer is no. I prefer to keep the back intact. Very old appliqué Quilts with the back intact have survived, even if the appliqué fabric disintegrated. When the back is cut away, batting is exposed when the appliqué shapes die. Of course, we are talking 100 years from now so it’s not my problem.

when we hand quilted everything, it helped to have the underneath fabrics cut away so you weren’t quilting through several layers.

ultimately, you get to decide what works best for you.

Melanie, I chose not to make Block 4 this month as I am not making the entire quilt again. In Month 5 I am making both appliqué blocks and will have those in the Month 5 video, blog, and LIVE.

As people post their blocks on the Forum under Show Your Progress Here, you can get good ideas from those photos.

Hi, Im running behind on these blocks and have very little experience on traditional quilting. Please can some one advise me which way to press the seams between the two the four patch on point blocks when they are sewn together. The middle row is easier but the top and bottom row are really bulky. Thank you

I pressed mine open and used a clapper and they all are pretty flat.
