    backing fabric

What fabric was used as backing? Do you have any recommendations as to light vs. dark? thanks!

    #2
Here is my back. A gray wide goods back, tiny geometric print. It hides quilting problems but allows the overall quilting texture to show. I wouldn’t recommend a light solid unless your quilting is excellent—mine is not. I don’t remember what fabric is used on the back of Wendy’s.

The quilt is about 70” square, depending on how wide you cut the final borders.

I recently found a green all over design wide fabric for my backing... it sort of ties into the trees'; BUT... it really adds to ALL my doors on the houses....because... all my doors are GREEN DOORS.... [in case you are old enough to recall that cool tune by Jim Lowe that was popular back in the late '50's !]- Somehow I recalled the tune when I began this BOM and it has stuck!! Loving this "challenge".. I need to get to my corners... no doors!!

I'm stopping Color my World after the large road. Do you have instructions on finishing at this point? My final border will be the background fabric. It will also be the back.
          Thanks,

There are no instructions for finishing after the Upper Road. I would appliqué it to border fabric if it were me.
