Washed fabric out of alignment.

When I washed my fabric, some of the smaller pieces were out of "alignment" by about 3 inches to the right and the left. Will I still have enough fabric to make the houses, both upper and lower, if I align the grain? Or should I cut my strips with the grain being askewed? My 1/3 yard pieces are now less than 1/4 yard!

Do not "square up" those fabrics. Just cut a strip as needed--the pieces cut from the strip are usually very small, grain won't matter and you will be using the paper pattern as "stabilizer". You will have enough as long as you don't try to "straighten" it by cutting off so much.
