Thread Kit
I’m confused. I bought the BOM thread kit and it comes with 2 60wt. spools of lt. tan, 1 80wt. spool of dk. tan and 1 80 wt. spool of cream. The intro BOM pattern page says “60wt. thread for piecing and 80wt. thread for applique”. However, I see on the forum pages that we are supposed to use 60wt. on top and 80wt. In the bobbin? So which is it? Not sure how to use my kit. :/Tags: None

Stacey, Usually you use 60wt. for piecing and 80 in bobbin. I don't think I would use either of those colors to do the applique.
The trees are green and the tree trunks are black. Both of those colors you are talking about would show the stitches. I would
use a color on top that matches the fabric of the applique and the 80 wt. in the bobbin. That is just my opinion. HelenWHelenW

60 wt in top for piecing, 80 wt in bobbin for piecing. The only "applique" is stitching the black bias tape trees--use black thread for that. Or thread that matches whatever color your tree trunks are.Originally posted by Stacey Koehler-staceyk2cn View PostI’m confused.
