    HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    1. PRINT the pattern--be sure the 1" box is accurate on the one pattern page. READ the pattern before you begin
    2. WATCH THE VIDEO--lots of important info there

          I'm sure that I followed your instructionc, but the two tries of my mariner compass comes to 13.5". What am I doing wring?

            1. Pattern may not be printed correctly. Measure your pattern to be sure sections are 7.5" for each HALF compass
            2. If piecing with freezer paper, it really matters how carefully the paper is folded back and how close to the fold you sew
            3. Assertive pressing can find the pleats/folds--double check all pressed pieces before sewing the next piece on
